ACT

Drop Anchor

A guided ACT grounding exercise for when a feeling has taken over

Name what is here, come back to the body, notice the room, and hold the feeling and the room at the same time

For
Adults in an emotional storm who need their attention back in the room before they can act
Format
Separate interactive web exercise
Takes
About 2 minutes
Privacy
Separate app · nothing saved, submitted, or sent · optional narration is a static file, not a speech service

Educational reflection only. It is not therapy, diagnosis, crisis support, or a clinical decision tool. It rates how hard a person is struggling against a feeling, never the intensity of the feeling, and it does not promise the feeling will pass.

The exercise runs at values.dr-mcb.com, a separate application hosted by Vercel. Its page declares a policy that blocks network connections and form submission, it has no form, and it writes nothing to browser storage. If a Values Duel result is already saved in the same browser, the exercise may read five value names from it to offer as optional prompts. Optional narration, when recorded, is a static audio file served from the same site rather than a speech service called while you use it; no narration is recorded yet, so the page runs silently. Deployed and checked on 2026-09-10.

The Thought Lab

A guided ACT exercise for unhooking from a thought

Notice a thought as a thought, then choose a direction and one small action while the thought is still there

For
Adults who get caught by a repeating thought and want a different way to hold it
Format
Separate interactive web exercise
Takes
About 3 minutes

What Values Duel does with your information
Saving
Values Duel runs at values.dr-mcb.com, a separate application hosted by Vercel. With saving on, progress and reflection text stay in your browser.
Analytics
Vercel receives page requests as the host. Vercel Web Analytics records page path and referrer, coarse location and device/browser details, plus named usage events with limited counts or yes/no states. This source does not put reflection text, email addresses, or chosen value names in those custom events.
Results email
If you request a results email, your address, optional first name, and five selected value names are sent through Resend. In the current live app, a separate optional checkbox can also add your address and optional first name to a follow-up list without a separate confirmation step. The exercise works without an email address.
Retention and requests
Resend stores recipient details, message content, and delivery metadata. Its public DPA says customer data is processed while the account agreement is active and deleted within 90 days after account termination; its privacy policy says data may be processed in the United States. The current live follow-up flow uses the direct checkbox described above. A stronger confirmation-first remediation exists in source but has not been deployed. To ask about access or earlier deletion, write to Privacy Lead, Dr. Marie Claire Bourque, 106–460 Doyle Avenue, Kelowna, BC V1Y 0C2, Canada; identify Values Duel, but do not include reflection text or health information. Source code cannot verify whether account-level open or link tracking is enabled. If you prefer not to use those email routes, complete the exercise without requesting results or joining follow-up.
